What are the odds….?

As it happened, on the Saturday that we flew the photomissions with our warbird friends at Camarillo, California we were not the only visitors there… Only a few weeks earlier we learned that by very happy coincidence the famous B-29 ‘DOC’ would be setting up their camp at Camarillo during just THAT weekend.

Needless to say our team spared no effort and expense to make another dreamflight for all the photographers come true. Thanks to the incredible support of the entire B-29 Doc team – with a special shout out to Brett Schauff and Josh Wells – we had this majestic warbird planned for a late afternoon flight over the ocean… until that annoying fog layer rolled in again and almost spoiled it for us. Fortunately we had the flexibility to stay until Sunday, and since not all photographers could join us anymore on the extra day we decided to gift them this unique photoflight as our appreciation for everyone’s efforts!

And what an unforgettable flight this was!!

We have to let the photos do the talking here, brilliant flight crew in the B-29 and Skyvan made it all happen. The view and sound to see such a famous WW II bomber up close is a lifetime memory.
