Offering the best AIR-TO-AIR projects in the world!
Number
of successfully completed Aerial Photo Join-ups:
The Aviation PhotoCrew is a small team
of enthusiastic photographers and 1 videographer with the same passion
for aviation. In the past 20 years we have had the opportunity to do a
lot of Air-to-Air photowork all around the world, which can be found in
the galleries on our website.
We are the only team in the world offering large scale aerial photomissions
to other aviation photographers around the globe!! If you like to fly
with us, certainly check out the pages ‘Fly
with us!’ ‘Newsletter’
and ‘Projects’.
If you have any questions, suggestions or ideas, please don’t hesitate
to contact us via email: info@aviation-photocrew.com
Do note that Aviation PhotoCrew does NOT offer passengerflights
or pleasure rides! You have to be an aviation photographer in order
to fly with us under the part SPO regulations ( PAS OM-A 8.3.1.5.5
Task Specialist for Aerial Photography ). In UK airspace we fly
under UK Air Ops Regulation.
You will receive multiple mandatory briefings and a specific tasking
for the photoflight. You have to strictly comply with the responsabilities
as described for the task specialist in the preparation briefings.
It is important that you act and behave like a responsible crewmember
on any photoflight!
In addition, you will have to follow strictly the guidelines of
the ‘flight operations manual’ from the photoship. No
matter how much experience you have, these guidelines will be explained
before every single photomission again, and it is mandatory to attend
this briefing.
It is equally important that you confirm by email that you have
received the detailed task specialist briefings ( part 1 and part
2 ) and that you understand the content. You will receive additional
training/recurrent training if any of the guidelines and information
is not fully understood.
> 31-05-2025: Arizona Military and Classics
The month of October is still far from chilly and more
like super-hot during the day. But the stunning scenery makes up for
all the suffering, and the ‘Breaking Bad’ vibes during
the day. Just like last year we had the opportunity to fly several
of the photomissions in the sunset with the true golden light, and
to complete the hardship we decided to wake up around 4am to be ready
for some sunrise action as well.
> 28-05-2025: Privateer
This airshow season we have been incredibly lucky to
see a number of aircraft show up behind the Skyvan photoship that
are so unique they all deserve a separate report on this website.
The Martin Mars was one of those ultimate highlights, and only a few
days before this flight we had the chance to catch the B-29 DOC. In
the series "only one" The PB4Y-2 Privateer most certainly has its
place.
> 25-05-2025: B-29 Doc
As it happened, on the Saturday that we flew the photomissions
with our warbird friends at Camarillo, California we were not the
only visitors there… Only a few weeks earlier we learned that
by very happy coincidence the famous B-29 ‘DOC’ would
be setting up their camp at Camarillo during just THAT weekend. Needless
to say our team spared no effort and expense to make another dreamflight
for all the photographers come true.
> 21-05-2025: Pacific Airshow
2024
Pacific Airshow will be remembered unfortunately
for the biggest aerial event with all the bad luck in the world…
4 days in a row. Situated along the coast not far from Los Angeles,
it’s not unusual to have the marine fog layer coming in but
normally it clears off by 10am… not this time, and so most
of the airshow itself could not take place.
We were very privileged that ‘up there’ we could enjoy
a perfect blue sky and dozens of incredible aircraft to join us
for our annual Hollywood style extravaganza.
> 17-05-2025: Sanicole Airshow
2024
The Sanicole International Airshow 2024 had it all
– again!
For the visitors from around the world it’s a wealth like
you can only find with the bigger European airshows, with a program
each year that can easily compete with the biggest airshows out
there.
> 05-05-2025: Athens Flying
Week 2024
Athens Flying Week is simply next NEXT level when
it comes to aviation photography. Even when you go to the airshow
– sun in your back all day – or as a spotter, this week
in Greece has so much to offer for the die-hard aviation enthusiast.
We can no longer be humble, as this is really one of that absolute
highlight on our calendar, every year again. This is the sixth time
we flew the Skyvan photoship to Tanagra airbase for a week of five
star extravaganza and seeing dreams coming true.
> 03-05-2025: Hellenic Phantoms
When aviation photographers from around the world
travel to Greece to fly with us onboard the Skyvan photoship, they
have that 1 big wish… to see an F-4 Phantom flying in real
life!
The Hellenic Air Force is one of the last to still operate the
iconic ‘unicorn’ jet, with 338 Sqn based at Andravida.
With the superb relation we enjoy with the Hellenic HQ for many
years, and with the help of our friends in the Athens Flying Week
team, we requested for this year the opportunity to add an extra
photoflying day, dedicated to the F-4.
> 20-04-2025: Airpower 2024
The Airpower airshow in Austria does not happen
every year, nor is it a solid bi-annual event. The ‘GO’
depends on many factors, and so aviation enthusiasts from around
the world were thrilled to learn that in September of 2024 the gates
would go wide open again for the huge FREE event.
For the photographers onboard the Skyvan photoship, it is three
days of intense photoflying with opportunities like you don’t
get anywhere in the world. Our Aviation PhotoCrew as fortunate and
privileged to celebrate our third close corporation with the Austrian
Air Force.
> 28-02-2025: Hawaii Mars
The excitement of an aviation lifetime!!!
Our crew was in Canada to fly for the Abbotsford International
Airshow, producing again a super successful project with too many
highlights to count. And of course the ‘cool beans’
like the Snowbirds, A-10 and F-22 Raptor. We knew of course that
the famous Martin ‘Hawaii’ Mars was about to make its
final flight around the same timeframe. But due to a number of challenges
around the flight ( weather & mechanical being the prime suspects
as usual ) the date was very uncertain.
> 22-02-2025: Abbotsford
2024
Last year we flew the Skyvan photoship for the first
time in Canada, for the famous Abbotsford International Airshow.
It was a spectacular experience and the project became easily THE
best of the entire 2024 season! Could we do that again…?
All the photographers joining us in the Skyvan came with sky-high
expectations, so the pressure was on right away! But also right
away there, fantastic weather for all the 4 days of flying. The
majestic Mount Baker played a prominent role in the scenery by showing
itself in an awesome way.
