RIAT, Royal International Air Tattoo…..does
this airshow really needs an introduction? Well if you don’t know,
it is the worlds biggest and most famous military airshow! With our Aviation
PhotoCrew, we were more than priviledged to fly the photomissions, and
for our preparations we teamed up with our friends from COAP. Just like
any other project, the work done in the months in advance is amazing,
and the number of people involved is quite big. From the essential support
of the ATC team at Brize Norton, the airshow Ops team at RIAT, the CAA,
the photoship and aircrew, the airfield we operate from etc... |

Put all of this together, in combination with
some pretty nice weather, and you are in for a treat…..a super big
aviation treat! RIAT is for any air to air photographer so high in demand
that we could only make a few of you lucky in the end, but what a rush you
get in return. The list of military aircraft posing for us during all
the photoflying days is just so long that I had to look back on all the
files on the computer to see how many great moments we had…..
Every single aircraft posing for a picture was a highlight, because it
is part of that magic atmosphere surrounding RIAT. We were very happy
to welcome new Air Forces behind the Skyvan with the New Zealand Air Force
Boeing 757, the Canadian Aurora and the Pakistani C-130. |

One of the major teams marked as well, with
the Polish Orliks. New friends in the shape of Gripens, Hunter, Eurofighter,
F-16’s, old friends in the shape of Mirages, Rafales, Typhoons,
Tornados, Alpha Jets, F-15’s and Orion.
The many photomissions were flown so well, the corporations with all
involved was so solid, the photos and videos so super, the aircrews so
nice, that we should let the photos speak for themselves and start planning
on RIAT 2017 ;) !! |
