The North American Aviation Rockwell OV-10 Bronco is a turboprop light attack and observation aircraft. It was developed in the 1960s for counter insurgency (COIN) combat. One of its primary missions was as a forward air control (FAC) aircraft in the Vietnam War. The OV-10B variant was produced for Germany to use as target tug. 18 aircraft were delivered in the late 60's and they were equipped with target towing equipment inside the fuselage.

Tony De Bruyn, a passionate aviator, was able to save two Bronco’s when they were decommissioned from the German Technical school at Fassberg. With a very dedicated team, they were able to restore both aircraft to flying conditions. In September and October of 2001 both aircraft were ferried over to Duxford for full restored.
A milestone was reached when OV-10B with registration "99+32" made its first flight on July 11th, 2007 at Duxford following a 6 year restoration period. After a full repaint in its original colour scheme, Tony flew this unique aircraft to various airshows in the UK, Belgium and Germany. At the end of 2010 Tony and a small group of enthusiasts teamed up, with the main goal to show the Bronco to the broad public at various events, the Bronco Demo Team was born.
The first display season was a great success and during the 2011 summer season they flew at events all over Europe from the Czech Republic to Scotland. The goal was reached as thousands of people could enjoy this perfectly restored Bronco in the air. This year looks very promising as the team expects to have a second and third Bronco in flying conditions.
As Tony is a big aviation photography fan and also flies the trusted Skyvan photoship, he has been posing his immaculate Bronco multiple times in front of our lenses. During the past years we were able to photograph the aircraft in various poses, behind the Skyvan, next to the Harvard or Extra 300 and even during a dedicated nightshoot.
Hereby we would like to thank Tony De Bruyn and the whole team for all the fantastic photoflights. During the summer season the Bronco will be displaying at various airshows all over Europe, more info at www.broncodemoteam.com
